We are a young family of three who happened to see a beautiful country house advertised for sale on social media, instantly fell in love with the property and the surrounding township of Stroud, and decided to make the country tree change move from Newcastle.
This beautiful historic old house has had many incarnations in its lifetime of over 120 years, including serving as a hospital, a family dwelling, and most recently as Bed & Breakfast style accommodation servicing the Stroud region.
We are continuing the B&B to share this beautiful and quirky home with visitors to the lovely town of Stroud.
We aim to provide comfortable country style accommodation with friendly service, catering to short term accommodation requirements for couples, families, or traveling groups.
There are three Queen rooms available, all with soft bedding and linen, vintage furniture, and direct access to the wrap around veranda and gardens through original French doors. The bathroom and living areas are shared between the three rooms. The bathroom is spacious with a relaxing monsoon style shower head. During the colder months a roaring open fire will greet you in the shared living room providing warmth and ambiance. A continental breakfast is available to you throughout the day, meaning you can sleep in and relax to your heart's content.
Unfortunately we cannot accept pets of any description (the only exception to this rule is registered service animals).
We look forward to meeting you.
We take bookings via phone or email only
Please note that we have clearly visible security cameras located at the main entrances of the property for the safety of our family and guests.
These are not used for guest surveillance, and no cameras are located inside the walls of the property.
